The $300 million expansion that will reconfirm Pechanga Resort & Casino as the largest casino on the West Coast will be opened to the public on March 3. The unveiling will include a party and concert.
The casino, located in Riverside County, near Temecula will hold a Grand Opening on March 3 with a ribbon cutting, a star-studded poolside party and a concert by Steven Tyler and his band Loving Mary.
Some of the amenities to be shown off will be a 4.5-acre pool complex, the “Cove” designed by Lifescapes International with five pools and four whirlpool spas. An indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar that serves poolside will also be opened, increasing the number of dining venues to 13.
At the 2015 groundbreaking of the project Tribal Chairman Mark Macarro declared,
“It is the beginning of the next chapter of Pechanga Resort & Casino and an important milestone in our history. This expansion prepares our Tribe for the next quarter century and positions our tribal government and community for success in the 21st century and beyond.”
With the expansion, the resort now has a total of just under 1,100 rooms, which puts it at the top of the heap of Golden State casinos.
