
Penn Entertainment has announced details of a new, multi-property partnership with fast-casual restaurant chain Shake Shack.
Under the agreement, Shake Shack will open new branches at Penn properties across the US. An initial 10 locations have been planned as part of the deal.
The first locations will open at Hollywood Casino Toledo in Ohio and River City Casino Hotel in Missouri. Pending customary regulatory approvals, the Shake Shack sites plan to begin serving customers from 2026.
Since opening its first location in 2004 in New York, Shake Shack has extended its network to over 380 branches in the US. It has also established over 210 locations in countries around the world including the UK, Singapore, Japan and Mexico.
‘Exciting’ Development for Penn
Todd George, executive vice president of operations at Penn, welcomed the new deal. He said it forms part of a wider plan to expand dining options for customers at its properties.
“This partnership marks another exciting development as we continue to reimagine our properties with refreshed dining and entertainment options,” George said. “Shake Shack is a well-known brand that resonates with customers, and we look forward to welcoming them to a core segment of our property portfolio.”
Michael Kark, president of global licensing at Shake Shack, said the new deal marks its entry into the entertainment space.
