Penn Partners De Laurentiis for Hollywood Casino Restaurants

Casino-operated Penn Entertainment has linked up with celebrity chef and entrepreneur Giada De Laurentiis to open restaurants at its new land-based Hollywood Casino sites in Aurora and Joliet in Illinois.

Penn Partners De Laurentiis for Hollywood Casino Restaurants

Both restaurants are set to open when the two new Hollywood Casino venues launch. The Joliet casino is scheduled to open in Q4 this year, with the Aurora venue following in H1 of next year.

Hollywood Casino Joliet will house Sorellina by Giada, with Hollywood Casino Aurora to be the home of Sorella by Giada. Both will feature De Laurentiis’ signature fusion of classic Italian cuisine and modern California.

Each restaurant will offer approximately 170 seats, including private rooms, with the Aurora site also having outdoor seating. Visitors will also have access to a contemporary bar at both venues.

‘World-Class’ Experience

“Giada is a world-class chef, author, and restauranteur, and we’re excited to collaborate with her to bring an amazing dining offering to the new Hollywood Casino Joliet,” said Ruben Warren, vice president and general manager of Hollywood Casino Joliet.

“Sorellina is the type of elevated experience that is foundational to making our new property a regional entertainment destination.”

Greg Moore, vice president and general manager of Hollywood Casino Aurora, also talked up the project.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Giada and her team,” Moore said. “This restaurant concept exemplifies the type of vibrant atmosphere that guests can expect from the all-new Hollywood Casino.”

De Laurentiis added: “The two spaces are complementary but ultimately offer different aesthetics. Joliet’s Sorellina, meaning ‘little sister’ in Italian, will be light, young and casual. Aurora’s Sorella, meaning ‘sister’ in Italian, is more formal and refined.

“Both focus on using high-quality Italian ingredients to create a truly unforgettable culinary experience.”
