Pennsylvania Casino Pays Underage-Gambling Fines

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board recently fined Parx Casino (l.) in Bensalem, Pennsylvania $35,000 for two occurrences of underage gambling. Both incidents—in March and April 2016--involved 20-year-old women. It's the fourth time since November 2014 that the casino was fined for underage gaming violations.

Parx Casino in Bensalem, Bucks County, Pennsylvania recently was fined ,000 for two incidents of underage gambling. It was Parx Casino’s fourth penalty for underage gaming violations since November 2014, according to the state Gaming Control Board. The legal age to operate slot machines and play table games is 21.

In one incident, a 20-year-old woman was on the gaming floor for more than 90 minutes on March 12, 2016. During that time she placed two wagers at a roulette table before she was asked for identification.

In another occurrence, a different 20-year-old woman played slot machines for more than an hour on April 8, 2016. An associate of the woman dropped a plastic bag containing a suspicious white substance under a slot machine. A manager found the bag. Surveillance film identified the woman and her associate. Casino officials called the Pennsylvania State Police.

The casino paid $15,000 for two infractions in 2014; $25,000 for two underage gaming incidents in February 2016; and $15,000 for an incident in December 2015.
