The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has handed a $50,000 fine to a video gaming terminal (VGT) venue in Clinton County after it was ruled to have breached regulations.
Lucky Seven Travel Plaza in Lock Haven failed to have PGCB-credentialed employees on duty while the VGTs were operational.
Meanwhile, individuals under the age of 21 were able to access the VGT room and, on two occasions, operate machines.
The PGCB issued a $45,000 fine to the Pennsylvania property over the failures. A further $5,000 fine was handed to the two owners of the facility.
Pennsylvania Casinos also Face Fines
In other new, the PGCB approved fines for two casinos in the state after they also breached regulations.
Stadium Casino, operator of Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia, was fined $12,000 for using a compromised deck of cards. No further details of the case were published.
In addition, Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing Association, operator of Hollywood Casino York, was fined $10,000 for allowing an involuntary excluded person to access the gaming floor and gamble.
Players Banned for Leaving Children Unattended
Elsewhere, 11 individuals were placed on the PGCB’s involuntary exclusion lists. Three of these were added for leaving minors unattended in vehicles while they gambled at casinos.
In one case, a male and female left children aged 11 and 12 in the parking lot of Hollywood Casino Morgantown while they gambled inside. The two played slot machines and placed bets at the sportsbook for 32 minutes.
Meanwhile, a female patron left three children – aged two, six and 12 – in a vehicle in the parking lot of Hollywood Casino York. She gambled on slot machines and table games for 29 minutes.
