Kathy McCracken, executive vice president and general manager at Wind Creek Bethlehem in Pennsylvania, announced she will leave her position at the end of the third quarter.
McCracken led the Covid-19 response at the property, which has surpassed pre-Covid figures, based on Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board figures. One of the state’s top revenue producers, Wind Creek posted May revenue of $46.2 million, including $24.5 million in slot play.
Jay Dorris, president and chief executive officer at Wind Creek Hospitality, said, “During the short time we have worked with Kathy, she quickly established a well-respected senior presence within Wind Creek Hospitality. Her competence and grace, demonstrated through good times and challenging times, have been instrumental to our efforts to grow Wind Creek Bethlehem into one of the most successful casinos on the East Coast. She will be missed and we wish her the best of times in her upcoming endeavors.”
McCracken began her gaming career at Sands Atlantic City where she served in various positions over two decades. She moved to the tech side of the industry in 2000 when she joined client services at Bally Technology. In 2007, McCracken helped open Sands Bethlehem as vice president of casino marketing. She was named executive vice president marketing and operations when Wind Creek Hospitality acquired Sands Bethlehem in May 2019. In February 2020, McCracken was named executive vice president and general manager.
In June, Wind Creek opened a $160 million addition including meeting and convention space, new hotel rooms, pool and spa.
