Petition for Brazil Casinos

As Brazilian politicians continue to dicker about the viability of legal casinos, an online petition is asking the public for signatures in support of the new industry.

A new petition on petiçãopublica.com.br (Public Petition) is asking the people of Brazil to take a stand for legal casinos as a way to fund government pensions and generate new jobs. The document will be forwarded to the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.

Authors of the measure say casinos could bring “250,000 direct jobs and 500,000 indirect ones. In this perspective, the importance of exploring the activity to boost the Brazilian economy remains evident.”
