The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, following a recommendation by its Office of Enforcement Counsel, approved fines totaling $27,500 on Stakelogic and TA Operating LLC, Yogonet reported January 25.
Stakelogic has a license to manufacture interactive games and TA Operating has a Video Gaming Terminal Establishment license.
Stakelogic was fined $22,500 for failing to notify the board of a change in its ownership structure. TA Operating was fined $5,000 for having malfunctioning surveillance monitors in its gaming floor, nor direct line-of-sight monitoring by store staff.
The board also placed five adults on an involuntary exclusion list because they left minors unsupervised at a casino while they gambled. The board noted that such behavior could have led to criminal prosecutions.
In a separate but related matter, the board also voted unanimously to renew the Category 1 horse track casino license of Downs Racing, which operates the Mohegan Pennsylvania racino. This extends the license for another five years.
The renewal occurred after a public hearing was held last September in Plains Township, where exhibits were made by Mohegan Pennsylvania and public testimony was taken.
Mohegan Pennsylvania has operated since November 2006. During that time it generated about $4 billion in gross revenue and paid $2 billion in taxes to the state.
