Revenues to exceed €60M
Easton Pharmaceuticals Inc. is on the short list to acquire an interest in the Club Hotel Casino Loutraki in Greece, on the Gulf of Corinth, about 50 miles from Athens. The resort includes a private beach, 275 rooms and suites, eight restaurants, a wellness center, conference facilities and a casino with 87 tables, 1,000 slot machines and a VIP lounge.
The seaside resort of Loutraki is best known for its natural springs and therapeutic spas and draws tourists and visitors from all around the world, according to a news release.
Easton CEO Evan Karras “participated in the privatization of gaming in Greece in the 1990s and is familiar with the property and the gaming industry in the country,” the release from Globe Newswire continued. “The acquisition is at a substantial discount of its cost and offers substantial upside in the gaming and hospitality sector, as well as with redevelopment potential for luxury managed condominium vacation units.”
“Being placed on the short list is a very significant step for Easton,” said Karras. “It is expected and we are hopeful that this opportunity would include Easton.”
The pharmaceutical company stated that it is “entering new lucrative market segments globally including gaming, real estate and hospitality, among others.”
