While all businesses in Pennsylvania that have been deemed non-essential are under an order to cease operation during the current coronavirus pandemic, Stadium Casino LLC, a subsidiary of Baltimore’s Cordish Companies, has received a waiver from the state to continue working on its $700 million Live! Casino & Hotel project in Philadelphia.
According to a report on WPVI-TV, the waiver was granted because of the economic development importance of the project for both Philadelphia and Pennsylvania. The complex, including a 200-room hotel and entertainment center, is slated to be complete by the end of this year.
