Pittsburgh to Host NCLGS Summer Meeting

The National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) has announced it will hold its 2024 Summer Meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The conference will take place July 17-20 at the Rivers Casino on the Ohio River. It’s the first time NCLGS has held one of its semiannual meetings in the Steel City.

Founded more than 25 years ago, NCLGS is the only organization of state lawmakers that meets on a regular basis to discuss gaming issues. The organization neither promotes nor opposes gaming but is focused on proper regulation and promoting best practices in industry governance.
It is attended by state legislators as well as regulators, gaming operators and suppliers, attorneys, lobbyists, media and other stakeholders to discuss all aspects of regulated gaming. The meetings help state legislators from across the country establish sound, effective gaming policies.

According to a press release, Pittsburgh is an example of “the economic success” of gaming in Pennsylvania and “a model of reference for other state legislators, regulators and operators.”
