Swedish casino entertainment provider Play’n GO has agreed to a new partnership with global gaming giant Genting, through which its content will launch in land-based casinos.
Under the deal, content will go live on BOOM Slots, a new cabinet developed exclusively for Genting properties. An initial 13 Play’n GO titles will be featured on the machines at Genting properties.
The wide rollout follows a six-month trial of games at Genting’s Resorts World Casino in Birmingham, England. This will cover more than 30 Genting casino properties across the U.K.
The full rollout is scheduled for completion this December.
Genting Deal ‘Historic’ Moment for Play’n GO
Play’n GO co-founder and CEO Johan Törnqvist described it as a “historic” moment for the developer, building on the company’s online presence.
“Our mission is to create innovative and entertaining gaming experiences everywhere,” Törnqvist said. “We are excited to expand the definition of ‘everywhere’ to include land-based casinos for the first time.
“The vision for our new land-based business is distinctly Play’n GO-flavored – ambitious, innovative, and meticulously planned to meet the business challenges and opportunities of the future. We think there is an opportunity for tens of thousands of cabinets featuring Play’n GO content globally.”
Stuart Armstrong, product director at Genting, added: “Differentiation in a crowded land-based casino sector is vital. The launch of our new and exclusive BOOM slots product gives Genting a compelling gaming experience that no other casino can offer.
“We know from our trial period that Play’n GO’s online casino content is attractive to players in land-based spaces, too. We can’t wait to roll this out to all of our U.K. properties soon.”
