Playtech Appoints New Deputy Chairwoman

U.K.-based Playtech has named Hilary Stewart-Jones as its new deputy chairwoman. The appointment is effective immediately. She previously served as a non-executive director of the company and was first appointed to the Playtech board in October 2013.

Playtech, the world’s largest online gaming software supplier, has named solicitor Hilary Stewart-Jones its new deputy chairwoman. Stewart-Jones previously worked at Ladbrokes as head of the firm’s in-house gaming division before joining law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner as a partner in 2000.

She is also a former partner and consultant for DLA Piper.

“Since her appointment, Hilary has made a significant contribution to the company’s board through her extensive knowledge of the gambling industry,” said Alan Jackson, non-executive chairman of U.K.-based Playtech. “On behalf of the board, I am delighted that Hilary has agreed to become my deputy.”
