Playtech and the Fortuna brand have launched an online casino for the Czech market.
The site is the first online casino to operate under the country’s new licensing regulations. Playtech’s license allows for “online technical games” and the site offers online and mobile slots as well as casino table games under the company’s Fortuna brand.
“We are proud to be the first company in the Czech Republic to have met the demanding conditions defined by the new legislation and to be granted a license as a result,” said David Vanek, general manager of Fortuna CZ in a press release. “Broadening our product range to complement our sports betting offering is a major priority. We are therefore very pleased that our customers will be the first to play online roulette and casino games in full compliance with Czech legislation.”
Playtech and Fortuna partnered in 2016 and have worked to introduce the brand to central and eastern European markets such as Romania. Expansion into Poland and Slovakia is also planned.
