PointsBet considers itself the masters of in-play betting, which makes its new two-year partnership with IMG Arena so noteworthy. The deal offers bettors on-demand streaming access to more than 40,000 games and matches, according to Insider Sport.
“The ability to offer our users with on-demand streaming content to elevate live betting is paramount,” said PointsBet USA CEO, Johnny Aitken. “PointsBet is recognized as the home of in-play betting, and this partnership solidifies our position as a leader in this space.”
The agreement improves the live betting experience while opening up new avenues to increase fan engagement, Aiken said.
The deal with IMG Arena includes MLS, ATP Tour, Roland-Garros, FIVB volleyball competitions and leagues, Euroleague basketball games, World Snooker and World Table Tennis, and more.
The firm currently operates in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia, with online casinos in Michigan, New Jersey, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Earlier in July, Major League Soccer collaborated with IMG Arena in becoming its official data distribution partner.
The pair will utilize modern technology to “create a new standard” for soccer data and increase fan encounters in both the league and MLS NEXT Pro, an affiliate tournament.
“We are excited to partner with PointsBet, one of North America’s leading and most innovative sports betting operators,” said Brian Clayton, senior director of sales at IMG Arena. “The deal allows players to improve their betting experience safely and significantly by increasing access to engaging, official content and watching more of the sports that they are betting on live.”
