Poker Pros Join Breakout Poker

Breakout Poker—a planned online gambling site that will accept crypto-currency—has picked up some endorsements from pro poker players including Johnny Chan (l.) and Huck Seed.

Breakout Gaming—a soon-to-launch online gambling site—hasn’t announced starting date, but it does have a slew of poker pros ready to endorse and help market it.

The site will use its own crypto-currency—called Breakout Coin—for deposits and withdrawals. Other virtual currencies, such as Bitcoins, can be converted to Breakout Coin.

Among the poker pros signing on are Johnny Chan, Jennifer Harman, Huck Seed, David Benyamine, Ted Forrest, Jeffrey Lisandro, Layne Flack, and Todd Brunson.

“We are going to shake up the gaming community with the world’s first crypto-currency that has a dedicated ecosystem for its coins,” said Chan in a press release. “We felt there was an untouched niche for digital currency enthusiasts to play digital games such as Poker, Blackjack, and Fantasy Sports, all while investing in the long-term opportunity of Breakout being the next go-to gaming destination.”

The site will only accept online players from regulated markets. The portfolio would include online poker along with 88 other online casino games. It would also include a fantasy sports book, the company said in the release.

The site will supply a complete crypto-currency system where investors can use their coins in the most entertaining manner. The Breakout Gaming exchange would be maintained in-house and includes a cold storage, which keeps the currency safe and protected from hackers, the company said.
