PokerStars has been launching regionally targeted promotion and has now set its sights on japan with Japan Autumn Festival promotion.
The promotion consists of four daily freerolls in October awarding $8,000 in prizes including 2,200 tickets to PokerStars’ guaranteed tournaments.
Five free tickets to the Japan Autumn Festival freerolls are available to any existing PokerStars player in Japan. Tickets to all 120 freerolls are available to existing PokerStars customers that make a deposit of at least $20.
Though Japan has been known for its strictness on illegal online gambling, many analysts think the country is on the verge of a liberalization of its gambling laws. Land-based casino companies such as MGM Resorts International have been planning to build in the country as a new gambling bill is expected to be passed there.
