ProNet Gaming Names Alex Leese CEO

ProNet Gaming has named former William Hill director Alex Leese as chief executive officer. The appointment comes as the company expands into newly regulated markets around the world.

London-based ProNet Gaming, the state-of-the-art online gaming platform and services provider that was recently sold to a private equity firm in the U.K. for an undisclosed sum, has appointed former William Hill director Alex Leese as chief executive officer.

Leese will be responsible for leading ProNet Gaming into newly regulated markets around the world while also driving awareness about the business and its products and services. He joins ProNet Gaming following a three-year stint at William Hill, where he was director of emerging markets, spearheading the operator’s foray into new jurisdictions.

Prior to joining William Hill, Leese held various managerial roles at online gambling giants Sportingbet, GVC and Offside Gaming over a 10-year career in the iGaming sector.

Leese will be based in ProNet Gaming’s new commercial headquarters in London but also will travel to its other offices in Malta and Curacao on a regular basis.

Ioannis Skoulides, ProNet Gaming’s new chairman of the board, said, “We are thrilled that Alex has joined ProNet Gaming as chief executive officer. This is a pivotal time for the company, given our aim to achieve listed status in the future. Alex’s expertise in international gaming operations will be instrumental as we embark on expanding our global footprint while also optimizing our product and service offering.”

“I am delighted to be joining ProNet Gaming at such an important time for the business as it embarks on global expansion,” said Leese. “ProNet Gaming already has an incredible client base of innovative and exciting operators, and I look forward to ensuring they continue to receive a world-class product and experience.”
