QCI Enlists Pala CEO as Advisor

On February 5, Quick Custom Intelligence (QCI) announced that it has engaged Fred Buro as an advisor with the San Diego-based software developer. Now CEO of the Pala Casino Spa & Golf Resort in Pala, California, Buro has more than 25 years of experience in iGaming, sports betting and resort operations.

At QCI, he will help to shape the vision and functionality of QCI Player, a platform developed by QCI for resort guests. QCI Player, driven by an artificial-general-intelligence engine, integrates casino hosting, marketing, and resort operations by providing guests with real-time, stratified self-comping capabilities.

“The collaboration between Fred and me promises to lower the cost of customer acquisition and retention by re-engineering guest-experience strategies through the introduction of QCI Player, a guest-facing simple-to-use technology,” said QCI CTO and co-founder Andrew Cardno in a statement.

“QCI Player is a groundbreaking technology that will transform the brick-and-mortar guest experience,” Buro said. “This integration of player rewards and advanced AI technology is a game-changer. Witnessing the warm reception to QCI Player by our guests at Pala Casino during its beta test has been promising, to say the least.”

In addition to his role as CEO of Pala Development Group, Buro also was a founder of consultant group Severity, where he remains a board member. He previously served as CEO of Kewadin Casinos in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, and also was chief marketing officer for the MTR Gaming Group in Pittsburgh.

“Fred Buro’s extensive industry experience and visionary leadership make him a valuable addition to our team,” Cardno said. “QCI Player represents a significant leap forward in casino technology, and with Fred’s guidance, we aim to take it to even greater heights. This collaboration marks a milestone in the gaming industry’s future.”
