Racer Condemns New Zealand Casino

On his Twitter account with 3.2 million followers, Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton (l.) recently called Auckland’s Sky City Casino "the worst" and said he was "treated like dirt." Apparently Hamilton didn't know casino visitors are not allowed to wear sunglasses or hats or use a phone at gaming tables.

British Formula One racing champion Lewis Hamilton recently said he was “treated like dirt” at the Sky City Casino in Auckland, New Zealand and called it “the worst casino” on his Twitter account, which reaches 3.2 million followers. However, reports indicate Hamilton may not have been informed of the casino’s requirement that visitors may not wear sunglasses or a hat or use a phone at the gaming tables. Hamilton deleted the tweet immediately without providing additional comments about the incident.

In response, Sky City Casino officials immediately answered Hamilton’s allegations on Twitter, stating they were saddened by Hamilton’s negative experience of Hamilton but they consider themselves to be good hosts.

Observers said Hamilton, who reportedly had been staying  at the SkyCity Grand Hotel, was spotted the next day outside the entrance carrying suitcases.

Hamilton was visiting New Zealand before the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, the New Zealand Herald reported.
