An extensive renovation project recently was completed at Rocky Gap Casino Resort near Cumberland, Maryland, owned by Las Vegas-based Golden Entertainment.
As part of the improvements, the casino’s table-game area was expanded to include additional blackjack and poker tables and roulette. Also, 54 new slots were added, bringing the total to 631 slots; 20 of those are located at the new outdoor smoking terrace. In addition, the venue added Signatures Bar and Grill, fire pits, volleyball and bocce ball courts and 168 parking spaces.
Golden Entertainment also commissioned a redesigned logo for Rocky Gap Casino Resort, and introduced several new membership benefits for its Rewards Club loyalty program. Casino play and instant-bonus points now may be redeemed for food, spa services, golf, VIP parking and auto detailing.
Rocky Gap Casino Resort General Manager Skylar Dice said, “The improvements we’ve made and will continue to emphasize our commitment in providing guests at Rocky Gap Casino Resort with an overall rewarding gaming and entertainment experience. We are very proud of our resort and our offerings and are confident these upgrades will provide new experiences to both our regular and first-time guests.”
Golden Entertainment Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Blake Sartini added, “Our Rocky Gap Casino Resort hotel initiative is continuing with the remodeling of several rooms and suites within the hotel. The goal remains to get our test rooms remodeled, give the final approval to the design and amenity packages and then provide a detailed phased hotel remodel program going forward.”
