Report: EU Wants Online Gaming Warning Messages

According to Reuters, the European Commission is set to recommend that online gaming site ads carry warning messages on the risks of gambling.

The European Commission will recommend that online gambling advertisements carry warning messages according to a report seen by Reuters. A recommendation by the EU executive to improve controls of the online gambling industry to fight compulsive gambling is expected this month.

The messages would include warnings on the chances of winning and losing, information on the risk of becoming addicted and assistance for compulsive gambling.
