The Macau Health Bureau has received applications from two casinos, Ponte 16 and MGM Cotai, to build 12 smoking lounges at the properties. The bureau revealed that other casinos are also preparing to apply for new smoking lounges.
Starting on January 1, 2019, all smoking at casinos outside the specially designated and insulated lounges will be completely banned.
