Genting Americas has chosen the Synkros system from Konami Gaming as the core gaming management system for its Resorts World Bimini property in North Bimini, Bahamas, and Carnival Corporation has received an intent to award a contract for Synkros.
Genting picked Synkros in a formal RFP selection. Resorts World Bimini’s gaming floor will feature a comprehensive suite of systems technology spanning marketing, analytics, reporting, cage and credit, accounting and more.
“Implementation of Synkros at Resorts World Bimini is an exciting development as Konami works to fulfill key casino technology needs with Genting Americas,” said Ed Farrell, president of Genting Americas Inc. “Konami’s demonstrated partnership focus is essential to realizing success for the Resorts World Bimini property and its casino players.
“The robust functionality of Konami’s Synkros provides the best integrated environment for delivering leading-edge convenience and engagement for our customers,” commented Patricia Lawrence, president of Resorts World Bimini. “The upcoming launch of Synkros at Resort World Bimini is an important piece of our customer service delivery model, ensuring we have the most cutting-edge gaming space in the greater Caribbean.”
“Konami is committed to delivering on the current and future business needs of Genting Americas as Synkros’ comprehensive technology arrives at Resorts World Bimini,” said Tom Jingoli, executive vice president and chief commercial officer for Konami Gaming, Inc. “The opportunity to support their business with leading entertainment enhancements and convenient technology services is of top significance for our team.”
“Synkros advanced marketing capabilities empower Resorts World Bimini to connect with players through unique personalization and real-time engagement,” said Jay Bertsch, senior director, systems sales at Konami. “They are known for providing guests a one-of-a-kind luxury experience, and we look forward to seeing that in new ways with dynamic promotions and leading-edge campaigns powered by Synkros.”
Carnival Corporation, the world’s largest leisure travel company, picked Synkros as the core gaming solution for its portfolio of 100-plus ships across the globe.
Synkros will provide systems hardware and software for all Carnival Corporation ships, which include Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, Seabourn, AIDA Cruises, Costa Cruises, Cunard, P&O Cruises (Australia), and P&O Cruises (U.K.). New-build ships are also expected to be included in implementation as it progresses.
“The decision by Carnival Corporation to introduce a new casino management solution is consistent with our vision to drive the greatest vacation experience for our guests and long-term value for each brand in our portfolio,” said Marty Goldman, senior vice president, global casino operations for Carnival. “Our goal was to find a solution that not only satisfies the complex requirements of operating over 100 sailing global casinos, but also provide a robust infrastructure and agile functionality to appropriately foster future innovation.”
Synkros will help centralize marketing, reporting, analytics, accounting and operational considerations for casino systems across Carnival Corporation’s global portfolio of brands. Implementation is scheduled to begin next year, setting in motion a strategic installation program that will ultimately reach the entire Carnival Corporation casino portfolio.
“From a technical standpoint, Synkros’ core architecture and advanced functionality provide our organization the optimal casino systems environment to achieve our goals and enhance the guest experience,” said Golman. “In addition, Konami has the strong company culture and customer focus that we believe is best suited for a long-term partnership.”
“Synkros is known for delivering incredibly flexible and stable systems solutions to operators with a variety of unique business needs, from ocean cruise lines to multi-property resorts,” said Jingoli. “Carnival Corporation is a global leader of consumer travel technology, and we are committed to supporting the future of casino gaming across their fleet.”
