The Genting Group of Malaysia announced the Genting International Casino at the 0 million Resorts World Birmingham, which will be the largest in Great Britain, will open Monday, October 26. Amenities will include slot machines, table games, electronic table games and poker rooms, plus an outdoor smoking terrace.
Designed to evoke a luxury cruise ship, the seven-story property will create 1,200 jobs. The facility will offer a new conference and banqueting facility called Vox. Retail outlets shopping area will open Wednesday, October 21 and the Cineworld 11-cinema complex, including the region’s first IMAX screen in a multiplex, will open Friday, October 23 with Spectre, the latest James Bond feature.
Europe’s first 4-star Genting Hotel at the resort will start booking guests for November 2. Its 178 boutique rooms and suites are based on Feng Shui design. The adjacent Asian-themed spa will the latest and traditional treatments.
The fifth attraction opened by Genting, other Resorts World properties are located in Singapore, Philippines, New York City and Malaysia. The sixth is under construction in Las Vegas.
