Resorts World Las Vegas has announced the appointment of Tom McMahon as senior vice president of slot operations and marketing.
McMahon will assume his new role immediately, the operator stated. He will join Resorts World Las Vegas after having worked in the gambling and hospitality sectors for more than two decades.
In the position, McMahon will lead initiatives across slot operations, marketing and the Genting Rewards Loyalty Program. This, the operator said, will focus on innovation, guest engagement and overall operations.
Most recently, McMahon was senior vice president of marketing and advertising at Sycuan Casino Resort. He worked in this role for five-and-a-half years before exiting in May.
Prior to this, he worked in senior roles with various other operators including Wynn Resorts, Bellagio Resort & Casino and Las Vegas Sands.
“Tom’s deep expertise in luxury casino operations and marketing makes him a powerful addition to our team,” said Carlos Castro, president and chief financial officer of Resorts World Las Vegas. “We look forward to the leadership he will provide in this essential function.”

Other appointments include Carlos Castro becoming president, with CEO Alex Dixon moving to a board advisory role.
In addition, the venue named Josef Wagner as senior vice president of food and beverage and hospitality development.
