Resorts World Sentosa Names Chen as New COO

Resorts World Sentosa has announced the appointment of Si Chen as its new chief operating officer, effective December 1.

Chen brings nearly two decades of international experience in the gaming and hospitality industry to the operator.

In the position, Chen will oversee the day-to-day operational performance of Resorts World Sentosa. He will also focus on further improving guest experience across the resort.

During his career, Chen has worked in senior leadership roles in integrated resorts across the Southeast Asia region. This included overseeing operations, marketing and implementing key strategic initiatives.

Leadership Renewal for Resorts World Sentosa

The operator said the appointment reflects its continued focus on “leadership renewal and sustained operational performance.” This forms part of its wider transformation under “RWS 2.0.”

Chen will assist CEO Lee Shi Ruh in executing strategies, management and the development of core businesses.

“We welcome Mr. Si and look forward to his contributions as we continue our journey of transformation and growth, reinforcing its position as the leading integrated resort and premier tourism destination in Asia,” the operator said.

Located in Singapore, the integrated resort is home to a host of facilities. These include a casino and Universal Studios Singapore theme park.
