Responsible Gambling Zone Planned at ICE North America

The first ever 2019 ICE North America sports betting and interactive gaming conference in Boston, Massachusetts will include a Responsible Gambling Zone (RGZ) created by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.

The Responsible Gambling Zone will include an interactive display that will demonstrate programs that are being used in the Bay State’s casinos. Such as the GameSense initiative that was developed in Massachusetts and which both informs players about the actual odds of games they are playing but also tells them about their options and engages them using various platforms.

GameSense offers ways to “Know the Game,” “Play Better” and “Get Support.” Ewa Bakun of Clarion Gaming, who organized RGZ, told CDC Gaming Reports “As gambling, sports wagering and interactive gaming expand across new states and with the emergence of new channels, ICE North America will be harnessing the influence of the internationally recognized ICE brand, to keep attendees fully up to date with the latest information necessary to ensure a safe gaming environment and to protect consumers who are at risk.”

The Responsible Gambling Zone is a similar but expanded version of the Consumer Protection Zone that the first ICE show in London in 2018 featured.

Bakun added “The RGZ underlines Clarion’s commitment to provide insight and information on one of the most important topics across both emergent and mature gaming markets. Although we are not part of the operating community we also have a responsibility to serve as a forum for discussion and knowledge exchange.”

Gaming operators are invited to donate to the RGZ to demonstrate their commitment to social responsibility.
