The space next to Boardwalk Hall on Atlantic City’s Boardwalk, once home to the Playboy and Trump World’s Fair casinos, is set to get a major facelift. Pennsylvania developer BET Investments, Inc. has begun a million retail project that will accommodate 16 stores.
In an interview with the Press of Atlantic City, BET leasing agent Kevin Corcoran said the developer is aiming for higher-end retailers than the souvenir shops and pizza stands typical to the Boardwalk. “The stores will be an upgrade of what you typically see on the Boardwalk,” he said. “We’re trying to attract national chains.”
Corcoran said the project, originally slated for completion by the summer tourist season, will be complete by August. No opening date has been announced.
