Great Canadian Entertainment has announced that 10 of its casinos across the country have secured reaccreditation from the RG Check responsible gambling recognition program.
Governed by the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC), RG Check evaluates gaming facilities on a set of best-practice criteria. These include player safeguards, staff training, self-exclusion options, advertising standards, and continuous improvement practices.
Reaccreditation was confirmed for Great Canadian Casino Vancouver, Chances Maple Ridge, Casino Nova Scotia Halifax and Casino Nova Scotia Sydney. The Elements Casino Brantford, Casino Ajax, Elements Casino Mohawk and Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel were also approved.
River Rock Casino Resort and Elements Casino Surrey were the other two Great Canadian casinos to be reaccredited.
Global Recognition for Great Canadian
Analysing the scoring, Great Canadian singled out its Elements Casino Surrey property in particular. The venue ranked first in Canada and second on a global scale for its RG Check scoring.
Several other casinos will undergo the reaccreditation process later this year and in 2026 for their annual assessment cycle.
“Receiving RG Check reaccreditation at 10 of our properties in October is a tremendous milestone,” said Keno Maseli, social responsibility and sustainability manager for Great Canadian Entertainment.
“Responsible Gambling is at the heart of our operations. This recognition reaffirms our unwavering commitment to ensuring our guests can enjoy safe, fun, and sustainable experiences.
“It is also… testament to the work of our team members, the RGC and our Crown partners in setting the high standards of excellence in player protection across our entire portfolio.”
