Rhode Island Casinos Add Back Table Games

Rhode Island’s two casinos, which reopened in June with slots-only gaming floors, added table games—and expanded their hours of operation—on June 30.

The Twin River Casino Hotel in Lincoln and the Tiverton Casino Hotel, Rhode Island’s two casino properties that closed in March and reopened in June for slots only, began operating table games June 30.

The expansion to table games includes expanded hours. Only three players are allowed per table and masks for all are required. Clear partitions will separate players from players and from the dealer. Roulette, poker and craps will not be offered at first.

The soft opening in June was for invited VIPs only and loyalty card holders and one guest.

Casino re-openings are part of Governor Gina Raimondo’s plans to reopen the state’s economy and end the lockdown.

The casinos are now open from 10 a.m.-3 a.m. daily. Under capacity limitations, the larger Lincoln casino will be allowed 3,400 and the Tiverton casino will be allowed 900.

The casinos will be cooperating with the state in contact tracing, so photo IDs will be required of all guests. In addition, parties are asked to maintain a 6-10 distance from others not a member of their group
