Rivalry, an esports betting operator, is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange Venture.
The firm hopes to leverage its esports betting skill to grow its more traditional sports betting and casino games ventures. The company also intends to introduce new products. Rivalry expects to launch its sports betting service in Australia sometime in the fourth quarter of 2021, according to Esports Insider.
“We are building the most comprehensive betting and entertainment experience for the next generation globally, and feel we are just getting started,” said Steven Salz, co-founder and CEO of Rivalry.
The company raised $22 million in funding, one of an increasing number of esports businesses traded publicly. In December, esports bookmaker Luckbox made its debut on the TSX Venture Exchange. Others include Guild Esports, Overactive Media and ESE Entertainment.
