The Muscogee (Creek) Nation’s River Spirit Casino-Resort and SMG Tulsa/BOK Center officials recently signed a 10-year agreement naming River Spirit the arena’s exclusive casino resort partner. The River Spirit brand will be displayed throughout the facility, on the BOK Center’s website and in communications to ticket holders.
In addition, under the agreement, a River Spirit Casino Resort-themed bar and lounge will be developed on the arena’s main level. The public will be able to reserve the space for private functions when no events are scheduled. Also, Creek Nation Connect Card members will be able to enter the BOK Center through a dedicated entrance for all major events.
Muscogee (Creek) Nation Casinos Chief Executive Officer Pat Crofts said, “We are committed to working with SMG and BOK Center in the continued development of the Arena District in downtown. With the signing of this agreement, we look forward to participating in the future development in this area.” Crofts added, “We have built a world-class resort and entertainment hotel and now our brand will be synonymous with a world-class arena. The growing tourism industry provides one of the most significant economic impacts on the region. Downtown Tulsa is the epicenter of the visitor experience and now River Spirit is also a part of the investment and expansion opportunities.”
BOK Center General Manager Jeff Nickler commented, “As two of the top destination locations for visitors in the region, this partnership enhances our visibility among guests who travel to Tulsa for entertainment and a luxury hotel experience. The investment by River Spirit provides the ability to enhance our guests’ experience when attending a concert, sporting event or major special event at BOK Center.”
