Rivers Philadelphia Names Moore GM

Rush Street Gaming announced that Justin Moore, former general manager of Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady, has been named general manager of Rivers Casino Philadelphia, pending approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

Moore joined Rivers in Schenectady soon after the property opened in 2017. He helped establish the Rivers Casino brand in a new and competitive market, operated The Landing Hotel, and debuted New York’s first sportsbook, while earning a market-leading position.

“Rush Street’s accelerated growth in destination and online gaming has created more opportunities for career development inside the company,” said Greg Carlin, CEO of Rush Street Gaming and Rivers Casino. “After a successful four-year term in upstate New York, we’re very pleased to welcome Justin to Philly.”

Under Moore Rivers Schenectady, was named the No. 1 tourist destination in New York’s Capital Region, hosting the “I Love New York” Empire State Tourism Conference at Rivers’ Event Center. Moore introduced and produced the annual “Harbor Jam” summer concert series for the adjacent Mohawk Harbor Amphitheater, and the Albany Times Union has repeatedly named Rivers Casino & Resort a “Top Workplace,” lauding its positive workplace culture.

Before joining Rush Street, Moore spent 16 years working in Nevada at various casinos and resorts, beginning as a food server in Mesquite and eventually serving as vice president and assistant general manager at Green Valley Ranch Resort & Casino.

“Eleven years after opening, Rivers Philly has a large number of day-one employees, which speaks volumes about their commitment to the property,” said Moore. “I’m excited for this new opportunity and proud to remain in the Rush Street family—thanks to our team members in Schenectady and in Philly for their continued support.”
