Rivers Casino Pittsburgh has released renderings of its permanent $5 million sports book, which is expected to open in the fall. It will replace a temporary sports book that opened in December and has been one of the state’s highest-earning retail books.
According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, the Rivers temporary book brought in $7.9 million in handle in May, the largest of the state’s eight retail sports books.
The permanent sports book will be located in a 5,500-square-foot area that formerly was the location of Levels Lounge. It will include club chairs and seating for about 195 guests, along with two 50-foot-by-7-foot LED monitors and 24 86-inch flat-screen monitors. There will be 18 self-service betting kiosks and six betting windows.
Rivers was approved for online and mobile sports betting two weeks ago and will launch an online sports book called BetRivers.com.
