Pechanga.net Publisher Victor Rocha (l.) has been named conference chairman of NIGA’s Indian Gaming trade show and mid-year conference.

Urban Expositions, producer of the National Indian Gaming Association’s Indian Gaming trade show, has named Pechanga.net Publisher Victor Rocha conference chair for the show.

In his new role, Rocha will lead the production of educational programming for NIGA’s annual trade show and its mid-year conference, according to a press release.

Rocha will remain at his post at Pechanga.net. He has been actively involved on the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention Conference Advisory Board.

“It’s an honor working with my friends at Urban (Expositions) to make sure the National Indian Gaming Association is at the cutting edge of technology, business and politics,” Rocha said. “We expect very big things this year, and I can’t wait to get started.”

NIGA Chairman Ernie Stevens Jr. praised Rocha’s longtime involvement in NIGA conferences and his positive impact on the industry. “Victor Rocha is not only an advocate for the community but a dear friend,” Stevens said. “He has his finger on the pulse of the industry and will ensure that the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention continues to lead the way for education in the industry.”

Entering its 32nd year in April 2017, NIGA’s Annual Tradeshow & Convention is the country’s largest gathering of tribal leaders and casino executives in the Indian gaming industry. The 2017 event takes place in San Diego, April 13-17, 2017.
