Seneca Gaming Corporation announced an addition to its senior management team, naming Rod Centers as the company’s chief operating officer.
Centers will work with Seneca Gaming Corporation’s senior management team to develop and implement an overall strategic plan to help maintain optimal overall business efficiency, and drive revenue, profitability and growth at the company’s three properties – Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino and Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino.
“Rod has a keen understanding and proven ability to identify operational efficiencies and to help organizations implement improvement measures that, in turn, help maximize results,” said Seneca Gaming Corporation President & CEO Kevin Nephew. “He will be a tremendous addition to our team at Seneca Gaming Corporation, and I am confident he will make important contributions to our continued success.”

Most recently, he was operations director at Universal Woods, a global manufacturer of hard-surface coating solutions, and has several years’ experience as a lean/continuous improvement practitioner and consultant, assisting international, national and regional clients from several industries, including Seneca Gaming Corporation, in identifying and resolving operational challenges.
Centers spent more than a decade working in the casino gaming industry, holding management positions with Pinnacle Entertainment, JACK Entertainment, Penn National and Caesars Entertainment. He has led continuous improvement and operations management initiatives at gaming properties in Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Louisiana and Las Vegas. Centers is a graduate of California Coast University.
“Seneca Gaming Corporation is a dynamic company, and their three world-class properties occupy an important role in the gaming market,” Centers said. “I look forward to engaging with the senior management team, the property General Managers, and team members across the organization to deliver a plan for growth that builds upon the company’s two decades of outstanding success.”
