Russia to Establish New Gaming Zone

The Dagestan Republic on the Caspian Sea may be the site of Russia’s newest gaming zone. According to Russian media, the special development zone will host two casinos and several betting shops.

Russian media reports that the Dagestan Republic in the country’s North Caucasus region has been selected as the country’s newest gaming zone. Total investments in the project are expected to exceed 0 million.

According to news outlet Izvestia and a report in the Asia Gaming Brief, a Turkish architectural firm has already received the commission to design a casino there. The firm is associated with Russian holding company Nafta Moscow, founded by Senator Suleiman Kerimov. The new zone will join others in Crimea and Sochi, the Primorye, Altay and Krasnodar territories, and the Kaliningrad region.
