Rytterstrom Named President of Borgata

MGM Resorts International announced that Niklas Rytterstrom, pegged to become president and chief operating officer of the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City effective May 1, will assume the post immediately.

Rytterstrom began his career at MGM in 1999 as an assistant hotel manager at Bellagio and later served as front-office and hotel manager at the Mirage. He was vice president of hotel operations at Beau Rivage, general manager of Gold Strike, president and COO of Luxor, president and COO of the Mirage and Excalibur, and most recently general manager of the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

He replaces Travis Lunn, who moved to Las Vegas to become president and COO of the Luxor, also owned by MGM.

“Nik has a long history with MGM Resorts and brings a wealth of operational experience and industry knowledge to the property and Atlantic City,” said Steve Zanella, president of MGM Resorts operations. “Nik’s strong leadership skills and strategic vision will continue to differentiate Borgata in a competitive landscape and enhance its position as a market leader.”
