Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, Northern California, near the Bay Area, has announced that it will add 111 luxury rooms and suites to its existing hotel over the next year and a half. It will also renovate the existing 297 rooms in its 17-story tower, based on feedback from focus groups.
The hotel has been experiencing high weekend occupancy due to a summer concert series, which includes groups such as the Beach Boys, Kenny Rogers and Diana Ross. The work will be done during non-peak periods. It will create about 100 construction jobs.
General Manager Dawn Clayton declared, “We are excited about the design improvements and new innovations that will serve to enhance the experience at our AAA 4-Diamond destination resort,” adding, “Some of the best design and construction companies in the business have been selected to make it happen, and we can’t wait for the day when our guests see the remarkable design features in store for them.”
Architectural and interior design will be by the firm of YWS, which has designed projects such as the Hakkasan at MGM Grand, the Crown Sri Lanka resort and SkyCity Auckland. Flint Builders, based in Roseville will be in charge of the build-out process.
