Saipan Casino Hearing to Be Held May 3

A hearing by the Commonwealth Casino Commission May 3 will determine if Imperial Pacific International LLC loses its license to operate a casino on Saipan, which is part of the U.S. commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

IPI’s license was suspended almost a year ago for failing to make license fees, regulatory fees and to contribute to a community benefit fund. It also failed to maintain minimum capital requirements for operating its Imperial Palace Saipan, which lies unfinished and closed due to the Covid pandemic.

The hearing is being held at the request of CCC Executive Director Andrew Yeom, who filed the complaints against IPI.
