Sam Kinison Slot in Works

The brother of the late comedian Sam Kinison has enlisted a company to represent the comedian’s name and likeness for themes in casino and mobile slot machines.

Bill Kinison, brother of late, legendary comedian Sam Kinison, has appointed licensing and production company Casino Gamer Media to exclusively represent Sam Kinison’s name, likeness and all Kinison content for casino slot machines, gaming and the mobile device industry. Andrew Hunt and David Kessler, principals of CGM, say they are currently in talks with major slot manufacturers.

“In addition to Sam’s name and likeness, the Kinison Estate owns HBO comedy specials and Kinison’s Emmy Award-winning and acclaimed comedy albums,” said Hunt. “All broadcast content, including Sam Kinison: Live In Las Vegas and his ‘Wild Thing’ music video, are available for slot machine and online gaming.

“With Netflix, Hulu, and digital platform agreements now in place for Sam’s broadcast specials, and the I Am Sam Kinison feature documentary currently in production and to air on Spike TV, this is an optimum time to secure a comprehensive gaming deal,” said Bill Kinison.

“The demographic composition of Sam Kinison’s fan base is perfectly aligned with the demo of recent casino slot machine users. Additionally, the availability to provide the ‘Wild Thing’ music video, Sam’s trademark scream, and showcase his wild and fun, rock-and-roll persona and signature audio quotes/visual clips, makes this a stand-out, high-profile opportunity. Most importantly, with a combination of technology and celebrity voice-matching, we can now create and personalize new Sam Kinison-esque audio content like ‘You hit the jackpot—now pay half to your ex!!!’”

“Due to Kinison’s timeless comedy material, he continues to attract millions of viewers. Kinison’s iconic ‘Wild Thing’ video and his first appearance on the Letterman show has millions of hits online,” Kessler said.

“It’s a pleasure to bring Sam back to the casinos he loved so much,” noted Kinison.

Casino Gamer Media is a licensing and production company focused on the gaming industry. CEO Andrew Hunt helped launch the “World Championship of Slots” with Novomatic Americas, which was showcased at last year’s Global Gaming Expo.
