Following upon the recent groundbreaking of its expansion, San Manuel Casino in Southern California announced that Peter Arceo has been promoted to chief operating officer and his vacancy as chief marketing officer has been filed by Rikki Tanenbaum.

According to San Manuel Casino General Manager Loren Gill, Tanenbaum has a strong record of leading senior marketing teams at the casino.

This places the casino strategically to position itself as a major contender in the Southern California casino market as its new luxury hotel comes online, accompanied by new restaurants, retail and event spaces.

Gill said, “From the moment Peter joined our team, he has been a key part of our executive team and a critical part of our success,” adding, “Rikki’s history of making magic happen made her addition to the San Manuel Casino team a no-brainer. We have no doubt that both Rikki’s experience combined with the growth Peter has stimulated for the casino will lead further success as we usher in a new era and continue this thrilling adventure.”

Arceo has worked for San Manuel since August 2015. He worked on the casino’s “All Thrill” advertising campaign, expanding it and making guest services a top priority.

He will provide support for day-to-day management and help develop talent while increasing the quality of the guest experience. He will help lead the casino as it vies for its place among the top casinos in the region.

Tanenbaum’s new job driving the casino’s marketing will involve investing in cutting edge marketing technology and devising relationship marketing campaigns to grow the customer base. She will report directly to the general manager.

Arceo came to San Manuel from the Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community’s Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, where he was vice president/chief marketing officer. He has a bachelor of science in hotel administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and an MBA from the University of Southern California.

Tanenbaum came to San Manuel from several marketing teams in both casino and hospitality including MGM Resorts International, Walker Digital Gaming, Viejas Casino, Penn National Gaming and Caesars Entertainment, among others.
