Saratoga Remaking Its Gaming Floor

The upstate New York racino is building a new sports bar and VIP lounge and upgrading its high-limit slots area as part of an $8 million revamp. Plans include the addition of self-service casino beverage stations and all-new lighting, sound and visuals.

New York’s Saratoga Casino Hotel has launched an $8 million renovation of its casino floor that will add a new sports bar and VIP lounge.

The 75-seat sports bar will be located near the main entrance and elevated above the casino floor. It will offer two tiers of 360-degree multimedia screens, more than 20 craft and domestic beers and a menu featuring what the property describes as “high-end gastropub fare”.

The VIP lounge will be equipped with plush private seating, a gas fireplace and other comforts, including complimentary drinks and food.

Plans for the refurbishing of the rest of the 40,000-square-foot casino floor include an ungraded high-limit slots area, a number of self-service beverage stations and ramped-up sound and visuals, highlighted by the addition of 50 multimedia screens.

“We’re confident that when everything is in place, our guests will recognize the significant strides and improvements we’re making to enhance their visits,” General Manager Alex Tucker said.

Glens Falls, N.Y.-based architects AJA will oversee the construction and Consigli Construction of Albany will complete the work, which will be done in segments to minimize disruption and is slated for completion in the fall.
