Kohei Sato, longtime chairman, president and CEO of pachinko hall operator Dynam Japan, resigned last week from his role as chairman, president and CEO of the company.
Sato joined Dynam in 1995 and took over as president and CEO in 2013, according to Inside Asian Gaming. He has been re-designated as a non-executive director of the company for the remaining two months of his term in office, which is due to expire at the next AGM in June.
The 65-year-old Sato along with four of his brothers and a sister-in-law, holds a majority interest in Dynam, Japan’s second largest pachinko hall operator. He ranked 28th on IAG’s 2019 Asian Gaming Power 50 list.
He has been succeeded as chairman of the board by the company’s corporate executive officer Tatsuji Fujimoto. Managing Director Makoto Sakamoto has assumed the roles of president and CEO.
