Caesars Entertainment will throw a farewell celebration for the Horseshoe Southern Indiana Casino riverboat on the Ohio River in Elizabeth, Indiana on Saturday, November 30. The vessel, opened in 1998 as the Glory of Rome, will be sold as the operation moves to an $85 million land-based venue.

On Saturday, November 30, Caesars Entertainment will host a farewell party for the Horseshoe Southern Indiana Casino riverboat in Elizabeth, Indiana as it moves off the Ohio River and onto land. The bon voyage party will include food, drinks and fireworks.

The riverboat, which will be sold, originally was named the Glory of Rome and opened in 1998.

Officials said the new $85 million, 100,000 square foot venue will feature a Las Vegas-style casino with a wide variety of slot machines, table games and poker. The new Volt Lounge will offer live entertainment craft cocktails and the Juno Bar in the center of the gaming floor will have several large flat-screen TVs. Other features will include a sportsbook, non-smoking gaming area, VIP Lounge with an outdoor balcony and a high-limit gaming areas with private parlors.
