SBC Barcelona to Mark Live Trade Event Return

In what is being billed as marking the return of major live industry trade shows, the SBC Summit Barcelona conference and exhibition will take place at Spain’s Fira de Barcelona venue September 21-24.

SBC’s flagship event will be the largest industry gathering in 18 months, after industry lockdowns and restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. High-profile brands such as bet365, Betgenius, Betsson Group, BetConstruct, Kambi, Sportradar and Yggdrasil Gaming have already confirmed their participation in the event.

“Professionals from across the betting and iGaming world have really missed major events, so we’re pleased to be able to stage a conference and trade show that we’ll deliver on the key requirements of our audience, partners and sponsors,” said Rasmus Sojmark, founder and CEO of SBC, according to Yogonet.com. “We’re delighted that so many of the big names in the industry have backed SBC Summit Barcelona, with support coming from both our long-term partners and companies that are working with us for the first time.”

The Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc venue features 18,000 square meters (193,700 square feet) of exhibition space, which will be split into five zones: Sports Betting, Casino and Gaming, Payments and Compliance, Safer Gambling, and Affiliate, Marketing, and Media, for SBC Summit Barcelona.

Each zone will be filled with suppliers of products and service providers. The conference, in addition to tracks focused on the issues and innovations shaping the future of the industry’s main verticals in both established and emerging markets, will include a Big Stage program featuring a selection of keynotes and major product launches.

“When we developed the format for SBC Summit Barcelona, we wanted to create something that has appeal across the fast-growing global gaming industry but also satisfies the demand for specialized events that focus on particular sectors and territories,” said Sojmark. “Our solution is to stage multiple targeted high-level conferences at the same venue, delivering valuable insights to delegates about their own sectors, while encouraging the exchange of knowledge and ideas between different areas of the industry.”

There also will be ample networking opportunities through dinners and events at local venues.
