SBC Events has announced that its flagship expo and trade show, originally planned for Barcelona in September, has been changed to a digital-only event due to the coronavirus. The SBC Summit Barcelona—Digital will be held September 8-11.
“SBC Events has pushed back the boundaries for what is possible for virtual exhibitions and conferences in the gambling sector, which is why we feel confident that moving the Barcelona event into an online environment will be welcomed by the industry,” said CEO Rasmus Sojmark.
SBC Chief Operating Officer David Knight added, “SBC has rightly gained a reputation for providing high-quality discussions and unmatched networking events, and have also proven ourselves to be a leader in providing digital exhibitions during the Covid-19 outbreak. The SBC Summit Barcelona—Digital will combine these attributes to deliver a must-attend gathering for the gambling industry.”
According to SBC, the four-day summit is the industry’s largest virtual trade event, with 100 exhibitors and eight conference tracks including a special program on industry innovation on September 9. Other topics include Sports Betting in Focus, Leaders in Gaming, Safer Gambling, New Markets, Affiliates, Lottery, and Payments.
