The 0 million Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort in D’Iberville, Mississippi now is taking reservations for its new 300-room hotel on opening day, Wednesday, December 9. An email blast invites recipients to “Be one of the first to experience the breathtaking views and non-stop action of the new Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort.” The 14-story hotel will include 234 guest rooms, 56 luxury suites and 10 penthouse suites.
Owner Bob Granieri said the property will create 1,100 jobs. “We’re very proud to be able to help the economy in that way. To give jobs to 1,100 people, it’s very rewarding. We’re excited about it.” The 68,000 square foot gaming floor, with 1,350 slots, 45 table games and a 10-table poker room, will be the largest in South Mississippi, which currently has 11 casinos. Other amenities will include a swimming pool, fitness center, retail, three restaurants and a 36-hole world-class miniature golf course featuring an exploding volcano.
Scarlet Pearl will be D’Iberville’s first casino and the 12th in the region.
