Scientific Games Announces Lottery Contracts

Scientific Games announced new contracts for lottery systems in Arizona and Iowa, and a new contract for online services from Loto Quebec.

Scientific Games Corporation announced three new contracts related to its lottery division, with systems deals in Arizona and Iowa and online services in Quebec.

The company announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Scientific Games International was awarded a new contract to provide an integrated lottery gaming system to the Arizona Lottery.

Under the contract, the company will provide facilities management services for the Arizona Lottery’s central computer systems, software, data center operations, retailer telecommunications network, retail point-of-sale and player self-service technology and peripherals, in-store digital advertising content system, mobile applications and marketing services as well as technical and marketing staff support. The effective date of the agreement is August 31, 2015, and it will remain in effect for five years after the date on which the company completes installation and obtains the lottery’s acceptance of the gaming system.

The Arizona Lottery’s five-year contract with Scientific Games, which was awarded after a competitive procurement process, will replace a competitor’s system and is expected to begin on or about August 31, 2016.

“The Arizona Lottery has aggressive growth goals,” said tony V. Bouie, the lottery’s executive director. “Scientific Games, as an industry leader in innovation, gives us the best opportunity for significant retail sales growth in an ever-changing environment.

The company also announced that its online systems will continue to power the Iowa Lottery with an extension of the company’s existing seven-year contract through June 2019.

Scientific Games works in close partnership with the Iowa Lottery and its 2,400 retailers, providing an online system, retail terminals, in-store digital content displays and ticket checkers for players.

“Scientific Games has been our trusted systems provider for nearly 20 years,” said Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich, “providing the Iowa Lottery with a high level of operational integrity and technology that has helped drive growth and improve security. They are a valued partner in our mission to generate revenues for the state of Iowa while providing fun, entertaining lottery games and promotions to Iowans.”

Finally, the company joined Société Des Casinos Du Québec Inc. in announcing that SG Interactive, a division of Scientific Games, is now supplying online real-money game content to Loto Quebec’s online gaming website, espacejeux.com.

The agreement allows Loto Quebec to utilize content from Bally, Barcrest, Shuffle Master and Williams, the four game development studios that make up Scientific Games’ deepest and broadest portfolio of player-favorite wagered content. Now, online players in Quebec can play many of the same popular games they find on casino floors.

Luc Morin, General Manger for Loto Quebec, said, “We’re dedicated to providing our players with seamless, best-in-class gaming experiences. With the addition of online real-money game content from SG Interactive, we’re strategically tapping into the full breadth of offerings from Scientific Games to do just that.”
